MannQuotes – Chapter X : Mann against the machine

ZFBot
Domain investor, Mike Mann.

Domain investor, Mike Mann.

Mike Mann’s conventional and professional wisdom has been immortalized in a series of MannQuotes; we started the series in 2013 for that very purpose.

Sharing Mike Mann’s entrepreneurial and often, very personal statements, is an educating and entertaining anthology worth reading.

After all, it’s not just Mike’s business acumen that stands out, or his trademark sense of humor, peppered with references to his Jewish background.

MannQuotes define the man who often rages against the establishment machine, the Byzantine political arenas, and the inability of powerful – at least, on paper – public officers to sustain growth and progress in today’s society for the sake of America’s socio-economical advancement.

Mike Mann’s tidbits are collectible gems that stand out and independently of his domainer persona, just like those of a modern cynic philosopher.

But talking enough on our part.

Enjoy a new set of MannQuotes, as we’ve reached the 10th chapter in the open series! 😀

MannQuote #111
Let’s put it another way on Estibot: Most likely no serious domain investor has made money from their robotic random number generator, all had to do fundamental market research to appraise serious domains.

MannQuote #112
Granted I don’t speak great English all the time, however I didn’t interview to be a television reporter, and I have an editor for my serious writing. No idea how most of these people passed the screening.

MannQuote #113
I am purchasing super premium .Com domains at about 1% of their intrinsic value, so a $100K loan is collateralized with $10M worth of domains.

MannQuote #114
Hard to discern the lesser of the evils: a completely corrupt leader of the establishment to bankrupt us; or a lying, scamming, racist perv?

MannQuote #115
Please don’t ever compare my domain appraisals to a robot, specifically estibot which is less than useless, it’s totally deceptive.

MannQuote #116
I’m not merely the best domain seller in the world, having sold the most with the highest ROI, I’m also the best at purchasing premium domains on auction and directly, for dramatically less than they are worth. There is a ton of great inventory right now because we major players have spent all our cash……….so if you hook me up you are in on the greatness….if not the egocentricity.

MannQuote #117
If you make the world’s best widgets, it won’t matter if nobody knows about it. Your success is more predicated on your excellence at sales and marketing. So you are actually a sales organization not a widget manufacturer. Having the best widgets is merely a background process that has to be solid from the git-go. All the dynamic growth opportunity is not with the product but with how you get it out there.

MannQuote #118
I love you all but can’t do free domain appraisal all day. Most likely its worth 0 is your answer though.

MannQuote #119
Even if your business is small you need to write a serious business plan so you don’t waste time.

MannQuote #120
If you are too lazy or busy to read or listen to my books, if you read my social eventually I will infect your mind and you will be right.

MannQuote #121
Why am I obsessed about being right? Well aside from being a narcissistic egomaniac I operate businesses, and charities, write books, and intend to start a political party, so I need stakeholders all around (believers who are right that I am right)

MannQuote #122
Ive always worked through the night, and sent messages whenever necessary, now I am seeing people get pissed off if they get messages at 4AM etc, never occurred to me people would leave sound on when they are trying to sleep, what about spammers and the like? I assume messages flow to all devices 24×7, dont you have people in other time zones or international you work with or speak with?

MannQuote #123
You have no fear of rejection. You don’t care if the person doesn’t want your offer, as long as you try your best to deliver the best presentations and offers and negotiations, to the best and most people, with the tightest targeting, in the shortest amount of time.

MannQuote #124
If you have $350 you can still buy a great contextual .Com domain and act like a billionaire, don’t sell yourself or your brand short with lame alternatives.

MannQuote #125
.Blog is among the best of the non-.Com options along with .Web and .App (and still .Net and .Co,) otherwise you are in the weeds

MannQuotes – Chapter IX: The Money-making machine Mann

ZFBot
Mike Mann at TRAFFIC 2012 in Ft. Lauderdale.

Mike Mann at TRAFFIC 2012 in Ft. Lauderdale.

When we started the MannQuotes list more than a year ago, little did we know that it’d be such an ever-giving source of wisdom about domains, entrepreneurship, and life in general.

Domain investor, Mike Mann, not only possesses some unique business skills – he actually shares his modus operandi with the public, on a regular basis.

We collect these valuable tidbits and present them to you in sizable chunks; this is Chapter IXnine, for the non-Latin inclined – of MannQuotes, and here’s a link to the previous installment.

MannQuote #103
My favorite facebook trick is to write a warm fuzzy post, get everyone to like it and comment on it, then maliciously edit it implying people liked the crazy stuff.

MannQuote #104
Paying terrorists to release hostages will work and save innocent lives. On the other hand it will encourage them to take more hostages.

MannQuote #105
I love when Im so fast and efficient at research that Google thinks I’m a robot and makes me do a Captcha to prove I’m actually part human.

MannQuote #106
Go Mike, sold GayGo.com for $10,000. Acquired: 6/3/10 fittingly for $69

MannQuote #107
Investing in a super premium domain name for your brand is a growth opportunity.

MannQuote #108
The irony of the horrific Ray Rice situation is that his victim, now wife, is dependent on him to earn money being a star, loves him, and does not wish him any negative attention or punishment, yet the public thinks he should be severely punished and negatively affected economically and otherwise.

MannQuote #109
Casting director from Hollywood just auditioned me for a new reality show about people with personal stories buying luxury real estate.

MannQuote #110
Beach life is the only life for me.

MannQuotes – Chapter VIII: The Magnificent Mike Mann

ZFBot
mike-mann

Domain investor, Mike Mann.

It’s been a full year since the last chapter of ‘MannQuotes‘ – tidbits of conventional wisdom from domain entrepreneur, Mike Mann.

Mike’s recent sale of MakeSomeNoise.com for $40,000 dollars, a domain he paid less than $1,000 on, shows that Mike possesses a magnificent instinct.

When three-word domains produce such a great ROI, there’s a secret right there, and Mike’s statements provide such hints on a daily basis.

Without further ado, here is Chapter VIII of MannQuotes, and a link to our previous installment.

Enjoy! 😀

MannQuote #86
If your cash is green I’ll brand your ass.

MannQuote #87
I have sold the most premium domain names of any single person, and set the world record for highest priced single sale, Sex.com. I have a patent on the domain spinning keyword technology the whole world uses, was first to accept credit cards and pay taxes, and I invented the quick transfer and many of the expressions used in the marketplace. “Domain investing” and “domain speculation” were called “cybersquatting” before I changed it. Plus I invented the expression “premium domains” for commercial purposes.

MannQuote #88
You can dick around all you want with alternative TLD domains but .Com will be a stable “flight to quality” branding forever and remain the memorable king. Every site built on a confusing alternative TLD will make the .Com matching name even more valuable.

MannQuote #89
A world class .Com domain name worth 10 times as much as another is harder to sell even at only 5 times the price. Consumers’ minds are inflexible and stuck at the low end which harms their branding and investing opportunities.

MannQuote #90
I could never hold a job, I’d be fired for insubordination and tardiness the first day, fortunately I can still sell domains at midnight.

MannQuote #91
Alcoholism has lots of flavors, each of them distasteful.

MannQuote #92
Reality may or may not be pleasant but there is no way to change it.

MannQuote #93
Pure green tea is the best medicine I know of.

MannQuote #94
I love everyone with few exceptions. People shouldn’t wonder if Im “mad at them”. The few would know, in explicit English.

MannQuote #95
If you want to speculate in domains you are taking an enormous risk. You should only buy .Com and only names that are clear to understand and spell, and you can find lots of potential buyers with exact keyword matches in Google. There is a reason Ive sold more premium domains than anyone on earth.

MannQuote #96
You want money? Buy low, sell high

MannQuote #97
When it comes to turning around companies I like to fashion myself as a cross between Chef Ramsey of Kitchen Nightmares and Marcus Lemonis of The Profit.

MannQuote #98
People generally display the same behaviors consciously or subconsciously and rarely change whatever pattern they develop.

MannQuote #99
The digital currency phenomenon will be successful because all any currency requires for a market is confidence and critical mass. People dont like being controlled and ripped off by central bankers and credit companies. Right now its similar to the market for third world currencies but can only become more effective over time if not destroyed by scammers/politicians.

MannQuote #100
None of the new tld domain extensions are relevant, can expand on the .Com space or use the millions of great premiums available cheap, or use existing country tlds or other alternates already in existence, no use for any more noise and confusion.

MannQuote #101
If one were to only live once they shouldnt risk missing any of their potential moments.

MannQuote #102
If you are going to be spending most of your days working anyhow may as well go for the big bucks.

Mike Mann‘s ability to deflect and recover from human grade problems is admirable.

After all, being an author requires distilling one’s mind on a well-defined subject and objective, and Mike performs the act with a flair of royal majesty.

After six installments of Mike Mann’s collective statements, we are presenting Chapter VII of MannQuotes, with a link to our previous installment.

Enjoy! 😀

MannQuote #69
Life is here now while we are preparing for everything else. Dont get caught dead while prepping for life. Is “luck” a real issue or just something we reference constantly?

MannQuote #70
The revolution will be televised, or at least broadcasted socially and virally.

MannQuote #71
Just pay the Mann and I will make it easy on you.

MannQuote #72
The best defense against lying idiots is a good offense.

MannQuote #73
There are two sides to each story, but only one truth. If you merely pick sides without using your brain you live and go viral with harmful false narratives.

MannQuote #74
Some people feel no shame, like if they did nothing wrong, or are delusional alcoholics.

MannQuote #75
Running away in circles still leaves you with your problems, and then some.

MannQuote #76
You cant win if you don’t fight back.

MannQuote #77
Everyone knows I’m home honest faithful working 23 hours plus pizza one hour a day.

MannQuote #78
At what age can your “family” no longer “forbid” you from doing things?

MannQuote #79
Pretty sure you wouldnt believe the truth if I told you.

MannQuote #80
Fear, greed, envy, cruelty, substance abuse. Cure these to save the world.

MannQuote #81
Be careful if you are marrying an entire family, study them a bit first.

MannQuote #82
Nobody will give you anything easy or free, if you’re at war its a war of attrition and best will be a Pyrrhic victory, otherwise be at peace.

MannQuote #83
I guess I’m old fashioned. Had to teach the bank what a “gansta roll” is and teach Starbucks what an “Arnold Palmer” is.

MannQuote #84
A nontraditional marriage is pointless, or worse, just a way to establish arguments.

MannQuote #85
Selfish means you dont respect other peoples rights.

Looking forward to more MannQuotes, Mike! 😀

MannQuotes – Part VI: The Magnetism of Mike Mann

Posted by on May 30, 2013, at 3:55 pm

MannQuotes by Mike Mann.

MannQuotes by Mike Mann.

Unfazed by a recent domain hijacking attempt, Mike Mann continues to intrigue those inside and outside the domainer “circle of trust.”

The ever-active uber-domainer has produced some extremely important witticisms, statements and words of wisdom – collectively called “MannQuotes“.

We have now reached Part VI of MannQuote installments, having decided to switch to Latin from Arabic numerals. The previous fifth chapter of MannQuotes was published two months ago.

For those of you eager to meet ‘the Mann’ at TRAFFIC Las Vegas, he won’t be attending, unfortunately.

Here we go!

MannQuote #56
“Non schola sed vita decimos!” We learn not for school but for life!

MannQuote #57
Generating and converting new leads will eventually bring millions no matter what else you screw up, not that I’m recommending screwing any of it up, do it all 100% and you will rule earth, its very ambitious model and you have the names and partners lined up.

MannQuote #58
Communist Chinese already stole all of our intellectual property; weapon system designs and all corporate and government info. They have a tap on everything else they want or will want. And the of course copy all the brands and music and other intellectual properties.

MannQuote #59
While you were sleeping someone updated a biz plan that will rule the earth (by accident, that’s just how I roll)

MannQuote #60
Fox and MSNBC are not legitimate news sources, and CNN is barely better. A monkey can get it right 50% of the time.

MannQuote #61
Maybe the traffic on Route 1 in DE (In reference to meeting up at TRAFFIC in Las Vegas.)

MannQuote #62
You’d have to be a complete dirtbag to make the Scum List on www.Crime.org, because there are lots of people I dont like who dont nearly rise to that level.

MannQuote #63
I didnt move to party town, it moved to me. I was here first.

MannQuote #64
A good gang leader can still maintain control and execute his plans from solitary confinement.

MannQuote #65
I dont see any point in hootsuite, twitter, or linkedin when fb can do all the same stuff easier and consolidated. The issue is if people fail to have fb account and still want to be contacted. I think they may find themselves on isolated islands with obsolete interfaces and everyone they need on fb.

MannQuote #66
I do live like a prince […] but Ive always given more to charity, taxes, xs, and others than myself. And Ive worked 7 days a week forever for charity for free. I have nothing but debt. And earned everything the hardest way of laboring. Nobody ever gave me a thing.

MannQuote #67
Parity, prosperity and peace is the answer. No justice, no peace. There is nothing to win and no way to win.

MannQuote #68
The fact that Socialists and terrorists wont admit it and come out of the closet is yet another reason they suck.

Looking forward to more MannQuotes, Mike! 😀

Mann Mondays: MannQuotes #3

Posted by on March 4, 2013, at 5:01 pm

MannQuotes by Mike Mann.

MannQuotes by Mike Mann.

Domain investors cannot have enough MannQuotes – the snippets of information or wisdom by uber-domainer, Mike Mann.

MannQuotes Part One was a surprising hit and MannQuotes Part Two was literally inhaled by our readers, the way bored housewives rush to their bedrooms to read ‘50 shades of Grey‘! 😀

Without further ado, here’s the latest installment of MannQuotes – Part Three.

Enjoy! 😀

MannQuote #25:
There are thousands of innovative startup corporations competing for best practices and market share, evolving, for everyones benefit. This is lacking in government, where lots of new parties and ideas should also evolve through the system with the same competitive vigor. New charities too.

MannQuote #26:
Class warfare is a foolish scam that Obama The Eternal Campaigner (poor operator) and all the liberals keep repeating (to the poorhouse). “The rich” are all different like “the poor”. Its easy to spend a huge amount of time and energy convincing 99% that the 1% are bad even though false. The rich already pay the highest taxes and tax rates and their money is more often spent on better more efficient uses like philanthropy, innovation, hiring, growth, with taxes that follow everyone naturally and economic growth for all.

MannQuote #27:
Education and job training (competition/capitalism w/simple regulation) is always the answer, the best investment of time and tax dollars and personal savings.

MannQuote #28:
If you dont lie you dont have to remember what you said.

MannQuote #29:
The new religion is changing the world through business, human behavior, and government respectively, www.makemillions.com, www.appliedevolution.com and www.bettergovernmentparty.com

MannQuote #30:
The new Pope should be an excellent global communicator and detailed manager of his flock so they get in line for the future, and try to resolve old problems, so should our president, so should the manager of your company, so should the manager of every charity, all leaders.

MannQuote #31:
One of the worlds most popular slogans has been wrong the whole time, am I the first to realize?: “Good to the last drop” should actually be “Good through the last drop” or else the last drop ain’t so good.

MannQuote #32:
Minimum wage is a tax on those businesses that require lower end labor. If those employees are profitable at those rates they could take another job for more elsewhere, as is its a welfare subsidy born by small business usually. It also puts companies out of business or makes them hire fewer, and lay people off. If we are trying to create charity just give them cash from the government instead of making business pay for it and throw off their entire economics, to the advantage of companies with only high end workers, and undocumented workers.

MannQuote #33:
Mayer @ Yahoo is doing nothing wrong at all by cutting off staff working at home. Its to save money, get people to work harder, create attrition to lower payroll, etc. Her job is to make a profit, not a democracy, not communism, not to make everyone happy, other than shareholders who were broken the old way of doing business. If employees are so great they have better job offers and can prove she is making a mistake, and Yahoo could lose money, fair risky smart business, no harm, no foul.

MannQuote #34:
Take the back roads or paths less followed since they lead to the same destination as more chaotic routes.

MannQuote #35:
One bad egg can spoil the batch. Turn them over faster.

MannQuote #36:
America is a promise that must be kept. Its fathomable. Line up your fathoms and go at it.

MannQuotes by Mike Mann.

After our very popular first look into “MannQuotes”snippets of wisdom from the very successful domain investor, Mike Mann – it’s time for a second helping.

The MannQuote open series of posts focuses on the business approach and modus operandi of Mike Mann, that often get lost or unnoticed. Let’s hope that eventually, Mike will collect the best MannQuotes into a book and publish it.

By popular demand, here are some recent MannQuotes to educate you on this fine Friday. Enjoy!:D

MannQuote #13:
Given advancements in technology finding a needle in a haystack might be relatively easy, maybe even bigger ideas will work that once were infeasible.

MannQuote #14:
Dont you see, we are changing the world this moment, you are either participating or witnessing.

MannQuote #15:
Business isn’t democratic.

MannQuote #16:
I never want to turn over staff, I want to expand it and change the world together. However I never regret any of attrition of people that don’t care because their departure improves the lot for the rest of us and all the charities that benefit.

MannQuote #17:
Get out of your comfort zone and evolve before its zoned out.

MannQuote #18:
The wave will be so broad and powerful and redundant that you will want to ride with the current, not against.

MannQuote #19:
The day of the flood the strong marched 2 by 2 towards the ark of redemption and evolution.

MannQuote #20:
To the extent something once existed it could exist again.

MannQuote #21:
99.99999% of the people in the world are not qualified to work for me and follow our best practices, the rest I want to recruit and retain.

MannQuote #22:
You are either in the circle of trust or without. Changing the world is serious business and there is no room for gray areas.

MannQuote #23:
You may not want to be a control freak at home, but its good in the office to create revenue, control expenses, innovate, create efficiency and best practices, analytics, documentation, impress investors and clients and the media.

MannQuote #24:
Working with me and my teams is a life commitment to change the world. A once in a lifetime opportunity to stand out and be counted.

MannQuotes: The endless wisdom of Mike Mann

Posted by on February 17, 2013, at 12:48 pm

Mike Mann

Mike Mann

Mike Mann is not simply a domain investor and business developer; as a published author, he strives to deliver wisdom daily, through the analysis of news, events and life.

A lot of these statements are gathered in his book “Make Millions and Make Change” which is a must read for any domain investor, entrepreneur or curious mind. Mike Mann’s second book, “Applied Evolution“, lays out the path to world peace and prosperity.

We gathered a dozen “MannQuotes” – as we affectionately call Mike Mann’s short liners – that are gems that often get lost among the white noise of the Internet and social media.

We’ll be sharing some of those MannQuotes with our readers, in this open series, and we are certain that you will benefit from them.

MannQuote #1:
When one takes me on in business or charity and disrespects me or our work, I feel they are taking on the sick and poor I represent, and I will go to extreme lengths to defend this constituency.

MannQuote #2:
Its good to “get angry” if you are angry, the idea is not to “be” angry.

MannQuote #3:
Weed bad practices and practitioners to succeed.

MannQuote #4:
Respecting ones boss and business plan and being a positive role model is great for ones career, and vice versa.

MannQuote #5:
For profit companies are for profit, charity is for charity, people with narratives can have them.

MannQuote #6:
Every person and task and hour should fit in with its respective strategy and be delegated, documented and measured accordingly with clear accountability, communications and leadership throughout. Discover additional leadership to follow this plan closely.

MannQuote #7:
If you want to see the weak monkeys flail from the trees, shake them a little.

MannQuote #8:
A rising tide raises all ships, cooperate, communicate.

MannQuote #9:
It’s easier to maintain control than to regain control; its easier to maintain a customer than to regain another.

MannQuote #10:
Most people are not malicious, they are just incompetent. Sometimes navigating the gray area can be frustrating. And winning with incompetence is hardly a win.

MannQuote #11:
.Com will always be king and dramatically outsells any other extension, maybe 30:1. The prices of super premium domains went down around 40-60% over the last few years due to a bad economy and marketing people confused over domain branding best practices. Therefore the best domains are dramatically underpriced today and will go up in value much faster than the economy or most other investments.

MannQuote #12:
Maybe I’m wrong about some things, but I cant see why I would take that attitude instead of always believing in something bigger and better and trying to hit a home run. Self confidence creates self fulfilling prophecy.

Congratulations to Mike Mann for his recent marriage to Tiffany, as well! 😀

Mike Mann : Schilling trumps Schwartz, as do other #domainers!

Posted by on November 8, 2018, at 12:49 pm

ZFBot

Domain investor and entrepreneur, Mike Mann, made a strange statement today, regarding who is a better domainer – Frank Schilling, or Rick Schwartz.

Following a series of tweets staking claim to the “Domain King” title, Mike Mann now shared a number of domain investors, all “dramatically better” domainers than Rick Schwartz:

Frank Schilling is also a dramatically better domainer than Rick Schwartz, as are fellow retirees Mike Berkens, Kevin Ham, Yun Yi, etc…..plus HugeDomains, Braden Pollock, Ari Goldberger, Chad Folkening, on and on.

Mike Mann added four more names to that list in a subsequent tweet: Thuny (Thunayan K. AL-Ghanim aka Elequa), Slavik (Vin,) Sahar (Sarid) and Drew (Rosener.)

Where is all this leading to, and does Mike Mann have a personal vendetta against the de facto Domain King, Rick Schwartz?

Is there going to be an open fight about who is the better domainer among the names listed by Mike Mann?

We aren’t sure. Mike Mann is famously known for his MannQuotes, a series of social media statements that define him as a domain investor, entrepreneur and overall person.

Mike Mann turned $15 into $30,000 with religious domain sale

Posted by on August 15, 2016, at 1:21 pm

Domain investor, Mike Mann.

Domain investor, Mike Mann.

Domain investor and serial entrepreneur, Mike Mann, keeps on churning out major sales recently.

The prolific domainer capable of turning small investments into sizable domain sales announced his latest feat on Facebook:

“Son of Israel, God of domains, sold GodOfIsrael.com $24,888 and TheGodOfIsrael.com $6000. Purchased 6/18/11 and 4/18/11, $7.50 each.”

Mike Mann was thus able to turn an initial investment of $15 into more than $30,000 dollars, for a pair of religious domains.

WOW!

This sale clearly indicates that longer, descriptive domains with and without “the” as a prefix, can fetch thousands of dollars.

Mike Mann’s mind.

Legendary domain investor, Mike Mann, has achieved millions of dollars in sales, often sleeping as few as 2 hours per night.

Registering a few thousand domains in the course of 24 hours is simply one of the many achievements of Mike, who loves drinking green tea – the cheaper, the better.

His tidbits of wisdom, known as MannQuotes, educate thousands of domainers around the globe. The collection sells for $125 on Amazon.com as a hardbound, signed book.

Looking ahead, Mike Mann wants to share the secret of his success, with science.

“I plan to donate parts of my body, when that time comes,” said Mike Mann.

“I’m sure it won’t happen for another 50 years or so, based on my gene analysis and my intake of green tea. But when it happens, I want my body to be used to advance science by a few light years!” exclaimed Mann.

Although he has never taken the MENSA IQ test, Mike Mann most likely falls in the super-genius category, based on the ROI he achieves with domains alone.

If we were to speculate, Mike’s IQ is at least 175, perhaps higher than Frank Schilling’s, who is considered a domain investor genius.

Mike is confident that if his brain were to be examined, the findings would be spectacular.

“It’s going to be a great honor to whoever gets to probe my brain, years from now, discovering how the Mike Mann synapses engage so much faster than those of other humans,” said Mike Mann.

Need more proof of Mike Mann’s genius?

He just sold DigitalLabor.com for $9,888 – a domain he acquired less than 4 years ago for a mere $200.
