As Domainers return from the Kilimanjaro expedition, one is missing!

The Kilimanjaro expedition of domainers has returned to base, according to DNJournal.

With 26 climbers out of 27 making it to the Kilimanjaro summit, one is gone missing.

Various sources cite that Boris Doofus of Ukraine, a domainer with extensive climbing background, was not among those that are currently warming up their legs, arms and other body parts around a camp fire by the shadow of mount Kilimanjaro.

The latest GPS report shows Boris in the Himalayas region, somewhere very close to the top of K2 at an elevation of 28,251 feet (8,611 m).

This is the second highest peak in the world and apparently Boris is on his way to conquer it, having misunderstood the name of the peak that the group of domainers was set to climb.

“I feel sorry for Boris as we have some really great fire and we are roasting wild goats that can be found only on mount Kilimanjaro!”, said Rick Latona, frantically warming up his hands. “The local potatoes are also amazing, best food I’ve had since I left Atlanta, for sure!”, he added with a smile.

The recent trip of Rick Latona via bicycle to Vancouver, Canada in order to deliver the Olympic torch for the Vancouver Winter Games of 2010 was a great warm-up for the Kilimanjaro expedition.

It remains to be seen how well Boris will do with the ascent of K2 – something that has never been achieved before this early in the year. Most climbers attempt to conquer K2 in June.

    lol

Good to know the missing climber has been located!

fizz – “located” is an understatement.

Looks like he’s only in the wrong mountain, hemisphere and continent.

Lucius, Boris must be a mighty fast walker then! Hopefully he has a good supply of food to wait it out until June to climb down. BTW, isn’t Boris that domainer chap with a new blog and an awesome portfolio? If he gets good wifi reception on K2 he’ll be able to keep blogging AND renew his domains 😉

fizz, you crack me up 😀 Let’s hope no domains are lost due to a long-standing stay in the Himalayas. And that Boris doesn’t meet the Yeti! 😀

Well if he does meet a yeti, I hope he snaps a clear pic of it as the only evidence seems to be blurry photos that look like an angry gorilla on steroids taken at a zoo, or else a rather basis police identikit model of a yeti: http://bittycakes.files.wordpress.com/2009/02/yeti.jpg?w=455&h=560
