Some call it a “dog’s life” but these days of harsh entrepreneurial activism, you can’t trust your own pet.

That’s what Mike Berkens recently found out, when he received a UDRP for the domain name BanditBerkens.com which he registered back in 2008.

“I opened my mail and my jaw dropped”, says Mike.

“As a responsible domainer and pet owner, I didn’t expect this type of betrayal.

Bandit has been raised differently and I had no idea he was envious of my online activity via TheDomains.com – apparently, he has some serious bone to pick with me.”

Bandit is Mike Berkens’ favorite Yorkie and is often seen at domain conferences; he’s an intelligent dog but nobody had any idea about his extraordinary domainer skills.

“These days you can’t trust your best friend, that’s what the world has come to”, adds Mike, shaking his head.

“I get a lot of inquiries about my domains but I feel betrayed, naturally. Who knows, maybe next year my pet canary will sue me for squatting on its domain name!”

Mike plans to appeal the UDRP while trying to infuse reason via private communications with Bandit Berkens. If negotiations fail he will have to fork out at least four months worth of dog food on top of the UDRP fees.

I hope that Francois offers a no UDRP guarantee for the animals at DomainerPets.

Jeff – I believe Francois will offer pets that come both spayed AND genetically engineered not to revolt against their pet owners.
