Chinese domain sales report : Hacker sentenced to 4 years in US prison

Chinese domain sales report.

Chinese domain sales report.

Cybercrime originating from China often accounts for the majority of current attacks against the US military cyberspace.

According to an announcement by the US Justice Department:

“A Chinese national who admitted to participating in a years-long conspiracy that involved Chinese military officers hacking into the computer networks of major U.S. defense contractors in order to steal military technical data was sentenced to 46 months in federal prison.”

That’s almost 4 years in the gaol.

Su Bin pleaded guilty, admitting that he traveled at least 10 times from China to the United States between 2008 and 2014, working with two other unnamed hackers to steal data from companies including Boeing.

Naturally, the majority of Chinese domain investors have nothing to do with such disgraceful behavior.

We keep track of domain sales that occurred in China, for domains that are in the .CN, .COM and .NET TLDs, and 2 to 4 characters in length.

The Chinese domain market jumped very slightly, after weeks of flat-lined performance.

By summer’s end, we should be seeing some increase in the volume of reported sales, and perhaps in the average price for Chips.
