Chinese domain sales : Stocks loss in the double digits

Chinese domain sales report.

Chinese domain sales report.

The Chinese stocks have been absolutely slammed so far this year, with losses in the double digits.

China’s economy is a paradox: Despite its sheer size, the volatility of its stock market can generate large fortunes, or make people lose the skin off their backs.

The latest reports from China show the following stock market losses in 2016:

CSI 300 -19%
Shanghai Composite -21%
Shenzhen Composite -27%
ChiNext Small Caps -29%

With all that in mind, don’t be surprised if Chinese holders of large domain portfolios, particularly of the numeric kind, decide all of a sudden to either let their assets drop, or auction them off through some arrangement with a domain auction house.

The overall sentiment at this time, is to sell and attempt to recoup one’s investments.

Today’s list of short domain names follows the same pattern as the previous days of March. Short domains, between 2 to 4 characters in the .CN and .COM TLDs is what we’ve been following for the past few months.
