Despite a recent drop in China’s stock market resembling a “crash”, there is little indication that such instability is currently affecting domain sales.

Apparently, many Chinese investors utilize domain names as “cash mules”, storing their money long term or short term, to avoid the overreaching arms of the Chinese government.
