Despacito : Latin superhit dot .com sold for peanuts, plus “Thes Pastitsio” parody video

Billy Anastasiou – “Thes Pastitsio”

Despacito, “slowly”, is one huge music hit, in Latin America and worldwide.

The original version by Puerto Rican singer, Luis Fonsi, was made bigger in a Justin Bieber version a few months later.

Still, the original video has more than 1.8 billion views on YouTube, and continues to gain airplay on radios around the world.

Despacito will be the biggest Latin hit of the summer, if not ever, and the registrant of Despacito.com sold it not too long ago; the listing price was $500 dollars.

Now, the domain has been relisted on Sedo, with a minimum asking price of $1,950 dollars.

It’s still peanuts, in our opinion, and a huge opportunity to reap its traffic.

The song could not have been possibly left alone; Greek-American music prodigy, Billy Anastasiou of “Feta” fame, has recorded a Greek version titled, “Thes Pastitsio” – Do you want pastitsio?

Pastitsio is a popular dish in Greece, made with thick, hollow pasta, ground beef, veggies and bechamel sauce on top. Frank Schilling owns the matching .com, Pastitsio.com.

    Do you want pastitsio?

    You
When you’re not near me, I think of you
    You’re on my mind

    Yes
You know my tongue always gets burnt
When you and I are together

You know you look just like moussaka
Both of you have ground beef inside
But I’ll always ask for you

    Mou-sa-ka-ka-ka-ka

    And
You look into my eyes and you smile
You need something to eat tonight
You know exactly what I’m gonna ask

    Do you want pastitsio?

Get me a pan and I’ll bake it for you
    Boil spaghetti, should be MISCO
Add some bechamel and cover it up

    Do you want pastitsio?

Once again today, we baked pastitsio
Cut it up in pieces, serve it on a plate
Tomorrow we’ll have exactly the same

    Let’s go let’s go let’s go let’s go!

And the recipe will not be kept a secret
    Add some milk and cinnamon

    All together!

Don’t be afraid, add a little more!

Little more, a little more, a little more!

It won’t go bad if you cover it and wrap it up
Keep it always cold, store it inside the fridge!

I always add salt and pepper
Ground nutmeg, a cup of olive oil
I eat it up like a donkey

When I eat pastitsio all day long
    I go NOM NOM
Move a bit over cause I want some more
    NOM NOM

Just like my auntie Elisavet bakes it
I want us to sit down together and eat it

Everywhere I go every day they ask for it
We baked pastitsio cause you know we love it

    Pastitisio, pastitsio
    Bake me a pastitsio

With veggies from the yard, from the yard
So they’re always fresh, add it all inside
Don’t forget on top, we add some feta

    Do you want pastitsio?

Get me a pan and I’ll bake it for you
    Boil spaghetti, should be MISCO
Add some bechamel and cover it up

    Do you want pastitsio?

    Ahhhhhh….
