Did GoDaddy acquire Rook Media?

Update: GoDaddy did not acquire Rook Media, per DomainInvesting.

GoDaddy appears to have acquired Swiss PPC monetization provider, Rook Media, after the following email circulated yesterday afternoon:

“We’ve got exciting news: GoDaddy can confirm that Rook Media customers are moving to GoDaddy’s SmartName parking platform.

GoDaddy and Rook Media will team up to make this transition as seamless as possible for our new customers while doing everything we can to provide best in class support and a top-of-the-line customer experience.”

SmartName is a PPC platform owned by GoDaddy.

There is no additional information at this time. Social media profiles for Rook Media and SmartName have not been updated for a while.

    It is funny…every time there is change or acquisition with the parking companies, then earnings always go down. I noticed ppc earning drastically going down already in late April, so I knew something was up. There have been so many….TrafficClub to DomainSponsor, DS to RookMedia, and Rookmedia to GoDaddy, These are only to name a few…..always earnings go down.

    They lose the Google feed because of fraud. Sending crap, cheap traffic to their own feed, playing the arbitrage game. More sursprised this didnt come out earlier, and why the industry is covering what they really did..
