In an ironic and ominous twist, outgoing ICANN CEO, Rod Beckstrom, appears to have predicted the future of the ICANN gTLD program.
Said Beckstrom in a tweet, yesterday:
“Beautiful gravestone in Brompton Cemetery
#London from morning run”
Did Rod Beckstrom have a vision about the Internet future?
Could this be an indication that the gTLD program is destined to become the gravestone of the Internet?
We shall have to wait and see!
