Domain conferences aren’t really that sizable!

If you attended NamesCon 2014 in Las Vegas, meeting 600+ domain professionals was an absolutely fantastic experience.

In the past, both TRAFFIC and Domainfest have reached similar numbers in terms of attendance.

While domain conferences of this size are considered exceptional, nothing compares to gatherings and conventions of other industries that relate to domaining.

Two great examples are the Affiliate Summit marketing conference, which attracts more than 5,000 attendees twice a year, and HostingCon – the quintessential conference for hosting and cloud providers with more than 1,500 attendees. Both of these industry conferences celebrated their 10th year recently.

To achieve great exposure and results in these industry conferences, one must offer great products and an attractive booth. It’s a sizable investment that requires professional planning and implementation, along with educated employees to staff the booths.

For the domain community, a great solution would be the upcoming Virtual Web Fair 2014, which will bring together domain, hosting and SEO professionals from the comfort of their home or office.

  1. Cloud computing conference Dreamforce in san francisco gets 45K attendees; using hashtag #dreamforce during the conference is a great way to get your cloud names in front of the right prospects.
