Download.com in danger? Artists sue CBS and CNET alleging piracy profiteering

Alki David, CEO and founder of FilmOn.com has filed a joint lawsuit against CBS Interactive and CNET.

The latter owns the web site Download.com which offers software for download.

In his lawsuit, Alki David – a British national born to Greek Cypriot parents – is alleging that CBS Interactive and Download.com promoted and encouraged piracy by offering peer to peer software such as LimeWire to its millions of users.

Alki David is a Nigeria-born Greek billionaire linked to swimsuit model and designer, Jennifer Stano.
