Father Domainicus: Farewell to The Pope

Father Domainicus eulogizing with the Pope

My brothers and sisters in domaining, this is Father Domainicus with an important message, about his holiness The Pope Benedict XVI.

Our Father in the Vatican – or, the Holy See as it’s known in ISO 3166 notation – is stepping down, due to health issues.

In more than 600 years, no leader of the Catholic Church has done so; most of them worked hard at their office until their dying days, just like the communist heads of state in the former USSR.

I am devastated by this untimely departure, as much as the next man of faith; and I urge you all to abstain from domain name speculation over the next Pope’s name.

Some men of the cloth expect father Ronaldo Maldonccini to become the new Pope, others speculate that Gianfranco Dellacrazola to become God’s representative on earth. My personal favorite, Ricardo Siffredi, is still young and virile as a stallion; definitely fit for the Pope’s position.

Even if their full names are available right now as .com domains, please, I urge you to not touch those holy names; it would be embarrassing to the faithful and to the Holy See.

May our Domain Lord guide you in everything that you do this week, and I leave you with a brotherly kiss on both cheeks. Amen.

~Father Domainicus

    No money in Pope domains.

If for that reason alone, these domains are best left in a state of non-existence in domainland–or in Limbo.

Ms Domainer – It’s a sin, actually. The Vatican would file a UDRP and issue a permanent stay in hell for the cybersquatters. 😀

My late grandmother always said I was bound for Hell in a hay wagon.

But squatting on a Pope domain would be way beyond Hell, resulting in a fate so awful that it can’t be discussed in public.

Ms Domainer – You’re right. After consulting with Father Domainicus, apparently a place worse than hell is a permanent stay in the Purgatory, a place where GoDaddy is the only registrar available.
