The argument about the “death of the .com” has been used a lot recently, and will continue to be a trolling point for months and years to come.

After the infamous Minds+Machines ad on Facebook, Reuters News is now attempting to provoke with an article, touting the introduction of gTLDs at GoDaddy.

The article, titled “Forget ‘.com’: GoDaddy Offers 14 New Website Domain Extensions“, announces the GoDaddy pre-registration program for gTLDs.

In the Reuters article, one of the arguments is barely valid: that PipeMasterJoe.com is less descriptive than PipeMasterJoe.Plumbing.

But what if Pipe Master Joe wanted to expand to glass cutting, marble slab installations and other small favors paid to the horny housewives of Beverly Hills? 😀
