Frank Schilling: Edge of space, baby!

Felix Baumgartner set four new records yesterday, after jumping from a height at the edge of space:

  • Highest manned balloon flight – More than 36,000 meters
  • Freefall from highest altitude – More than 36,000 meters
  • Supersonic speed in freefall – Faster than Mach 1
  • Longest freefall time – More than 5 minutes and 35 seconds

This amazing feat of ‘Fearless Felix’ is clearly a boost in today’s bad economy, as sponsors Red Bull will surely find out! 😀

Meanwhile, uber-domainer Frank Schilling can claim his own piece of the action, as the owner of EdgeOfSpace.com – a domain he acquired less than two years ago, according to DomainTools.

Congratulations to Felix Baumgartner for the achievement and to Frank for the edgy domain! 😀

Mike – Space innovation is a reminder of what can be achieved by humans for humanity. Definitely a great moment in history.
