French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo intermittently down after publishing Prophet Mohammed cartoons

The publishing director of the satiric weekly Charlie Hebdo, displays the front page of the newspaper as he poses for photographers in Paris.

The French magazine Charlie Hebdo published several cartoons today, featuring a figure that looks like the Prophet Mohammed.

Charlie Hebdo appears both in print and online.

However, the Charlie Hebdo web site is currently facing database issues, as the following message appears quite often, when visiting CharlieHebdo.fr

“Connection impossible Can’t connect to local MySQL server through socket ‘/var/run/mysqld/mysqld-nodefault.sock’ (2)”

The Charlie Hebdo director, Stephane Charbonnier, said that the publishing of those cartoons are “not really fueling the fire,” but rather using its freedom of expression “to comment (on) the news in a satirical way.

Looks like a new series of uprising might now target the French. Let’s hope that Francois of Domaining.com is safe!
