Google AdSense updates terms and conditions

There’s only pennies in domains, says Tom Sowa.

Google AdSense often pays in nickels and dimes.

Google has sent a notification to all AdSense users, with an update on upcoming changes to its terms and conditions:

We’d like to inform you that, starting April 23, we’ll be updating the AdSense Terms and Conditions to make sure they’re up to date and in line with other Google product policies.

When logging in to your account after this date, you’ll see a notification that presents you with the updated Terms and prompts you to accept them. You’ll be able to skip this notification until May 23. After this 30-day period, one of your account administrators must accept the updated Terms in order for you to access your account and use the AdSense product.

Here’s a brief overview of what’s changing:

  • With this new version of the Terms and Conditions, our goal has been to make them as clear and transparent as possible. As a result of this, we hope that it’ll be even easier to navigate and find what you’re looking for.
  • With mobile being one of the big trends in 2013 and beyond, we’re expanding our Terms to cover mobile properties more specifically. We’ve also incorporated guidelines for using the AdMob SDK and other publisher products.

The updates outlined above are the main areas of change. There are additional changes throughout, so please review the Terms as a whole before accepting them.

We look forward to your continued participation in the AdSense program.

Sincerely,
The Google AdSense Team

How will this affect the revenue of those that use AdSense ads, remains to be seen.

I never login, to see the pennies Google Ad Sense pitches me, it is a waste of my time. It is so sad. I built 361 websites, and have 25,000 comments on many, saying they were great and Google Ad Sense maybe makes 1 cent a week! I refuse to bother, as it was just a waste of time. I quite putting Google Ads on my sites. I put my own merchandise. I now love the Domain Gang and Facebook. I never look, to see what Google is doing, as I felt pretty low, for all my efforts. The picture, should take the quarters out of the guys hand. It is pennies!
