Porno domain registrations are on the rise.
Throngs of apparently horny domainers are registering adult domain names en masse, following the sale of Porno.com by the Domain King.
The sale of Porno.com for $8,888,888 was 88 cents short of a perfect sale consisting of all “8” numbers.
At least 485 “porno” domains were registered today, according to Verisign, managers of the .com TLD. The majority of these adult domain registrations were made after the announcement of the sale by Rick Schwartz.
We contacted several domain registrants of these pornographic domains, and here what they had to say:
“I read about Rick’s awesome sale, it’s amazing what adult domains can go for, so I registered PornoPornoOhPorno.com – it had to be a .com as the other TLDs are pigeon shit!” said Adam L. from Augusta, while David F. from Phoenix stated: “Yeah bro, these porn names are the future, I got some sweet .ORG keywords and a three word .com, my 20 year plan is in the works. Rick, you rock, man!”
With the majority of newbie domain investors being young males between 18 and 23, the sale of Porno.com raised the levels of Registry testosterone by 300% as compared to last week.
