ICANN: Yes to .Football, no to .Soccer
Sexy soccer moms will fight for .Football domains.
With Euro 2012 continuing in full force until July 1st, today was probably the first day that domain-related discussions became popular globally.
Today’s long list at ICANN revealed applications for .Football (x2) and .Futbol – the Spanish name for the game of soccer – but no .Soccer scored.
Naturally, .Football could be used for both American football and soccer, as only in the US there is reference to soccer moms; in Europe they are called football hotties with kids.
