Mario Monti dot com: Gone with Berlusconi

MarioMonti.com is taken by BuyDomains.

The domain name in dot com of the new interim prime minister of Italy, Mario Monti, is gone for several years now.

BuyDomains owns MarioMonti.com and it was registered in 2005 according to the DomainTools WHOIS tool.

The dot net was registered as soon as speculation over the name of the replacement of scandalous Italian PM, Silvio Berlusconi was announced.

In the same fashion, Lucas Papademosinterim prime minister of Greece – saw his own name in dot com being snapped a few days ago.

Will cybersquatting ever end?

Rick – I noticed that it’s missing from marketplaces such as GoDaddy auctions. Will you be donating it to the Italian prime minister?

    I got:

    PremierMonti.com
    PremierMarioMonti.com

  4. I guess it depends if I think he is doing a good job.
