Medical study suggests ‘standing man registrations’ to male domainers

A medical study by the Piscataway Memorial Hospital delivers some shocking news for male domainers: if you plan to father a child, watch your domain registration habits.

The all-male, 500-strong medical sample was followed for 36 months as they attempted to enter fatherhood. Testicular temperature and sperm count tests were performed weekly.

The results were astonishing: 80% of active domainers had high testicular temperatures, leading to a drop of 90% in sperm count over non-domainers.

“It’s very clear to me, the lifestyle of sitting in front of a computer for hours, crunching domain data and registering domains, can be lethal to sperm,” said Laura Butscher, senior medical associate at the Piscataway Memorial Hospital.

“In layman’s terms, the longer you sit in front of your computer, the warmer your balls become, thus producing less sperm.” added Butscher.

Long hours of domain registrations are the bread and butter – and often, wine too – of many a domainer, in the male-dominated domain industry.

But is there a solution to this serious medical issue?

“Domainers can work around this serious implication by following a number of safe measures,” said Laura Butscher. “One thing that works both for keeping your gonads at the proper distance from your abdomen, and fixes your posture, is to work while sitting on upright chairs that allow you to spread your knees and legs apart, just like riding a motorcycle,” she added.

A designer of ergonomic furniture had just that in mind, producing a series of upright office furniture. The “focal” range of office furniture shifts the paradigm of furniture use, liberating the gonads of millions of office-bound men worldwide.

Domainers, take notice!
