Move over XYZ : Dot .CLUB dominates Disrupt SF 2015 Hackathon

Google might have gotten the big ABC.xyz, but rival Dot .CLUB is expanding its customer base among techs, programmers and “hackers”.

At the annual Disrupt San Francisco Hackathon, the 2015 event is big on dot .CLUB domains.

The Dot .CLUB Registry is clearly reaching out to the tech and geek communities, as a viable, alternate TLD to dot .COM.

Already, TechCrunch publication is hosting several articles from Hackathon 2015 event participants that utilize dot .CLUB domain names, per the screen shot below.

Here’s a little dot .CLUB song we hacked together for you! 😀

I am just a domain bum
Searching for unregistered dot com
dot com

Nothing is available to grab
Come on now, I need to find a brand
By hand

Rick Schwartz wouldn’t be amused
And Frankie might have blown a fuse
I choose
Dot .Muse ???

Registered my Coffee.Club
We don’t need another com
Another click for a parking spot
To the right of your dot!

Back to WHOIS busy searching
Will I find a tool’s that’s working
A tool, that’s cool

All I use is DomainTools
Searching every name like a fool
From Doom, to Zoom

Registered my Coffee.Club
We don’t need another com
Another penny for a parking spot
To the right of your dot!

Registered my Coffee.Club
We don’t need another com
Another dollar for a parking spot
To the right of your dot!

  1. .club is definitely one of the new gTLDs that will succeed, everything definitely must have a club.
