Name.com: Domainer to quit GoDaddy during the Super Bowl

Goodbye GoDaddy - during the Super Bowl.

Goodbye GoDaddy – during the Super Bowl.

It’s a new, inventive way to attract customers: talk about the competition’s obvious failure during a public event, as big as the Super Bowl.

During the event, a loyal GoDaddy customer will announce that they are leaving the biggest domain registrar in the world – for Name.com.

“That’s right. I am fed up with the crap GoDaddy pulls daily,” said J.B., currently keeping about 750 domains at GoDaddy.

“I mean, they are not evil, but look, what matters after all is customer service and it’s a pain in the butt every time I need something!” exclaimed J.B., while preparing his Super Bowl speech.

The move from GoDaddy to another registrar, such as Name.com, is a decision that power users and end-users often make, based on personal experience.

“Not everyone has to swallow the GoDaddy claim that just because they use Danica Patrick’s status as a sexy, single female on the prowl for a young steed, or the muscle men commercial, they can stomp on our rights as domain consumers!” said J.B., energized by the opportunity to get his domains elsewhere.

NFL Super Bowl XLVIII takes place at the MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday – Seattle Seahawks will play against the Denver Broncos; the latter is the team Name.com supports, per their video below:
