Pink Floyd ready to release “The Endless River” but no .com

The legendary group, Pink Floyd, is releasing its first new album in 20 years; the 1994 release of “The Division Bell” predates the commercial Internet.

A lot has changed in the online and offline world since then, and while we do like the Pink Floyd classics, is there really room for something fresh that won’t be a blasphemy to the past?

Based on material from 1994, the upcoming Pink Floyd album will be called “The Endless River“.

Naturally, what most artists do these days is grab the .com before they publicly announce the title, but in this case, the Pink Floyd did not.

It looks like two days ago, Anthony Giallourakis of Florida snatched TheEndlessRiver.com, according to DomainTools.

Tony is no newcomer to domain names and the Internet; in 2000 he launched AdverGames.com – a genre of computer games that integrate advertising. The web site does not seem to be resolving, currently.

Will you buy “The Endless River” by the Pink Floyd when it comes out, hopefully on iTunes instead of vinyl? 😉
