Registry Duo ™: Double-register your domains – New feature from Verisign

Double-register your domains for your safety.

Now you can register your domains – twice.

A new feature by .com and .net managers, Verisign, delivers a whole new aspect to domain management and protection against accidental drops.

“Many times in the past we have received emails from frustrated domain owners that let their domains expire,” said Ion Dragoumis of Verisign.

“Quite often, the registrar is equally responsible as the registrant; they make domain management hard or impossible, with numerous spam emails. Eventually, the domain owner might see their domain lapse and drop from the Registry,” adds Dragoumis.

The Registry Duo ™ feature costs 75 cents on top of the regular registration price, and thousands of domain investors are expected to welcome this added feature at such an affordable price.

When opting to utilize the Registry Duo ™ feature, a domain is still registered at a primary registrar – say, GoDaddy – all while an exact copy of its data is stored at another participating registrar, such as eNom.

“By storing the domain microcode and WHOIS data across two registrants, we are able to offer to our clients a remarkable increase in domain safety and stability,” said Ion Dragoumis. “The Registry Duo ™ product was devised with the consumer in mind,” added Dragoumis.

Registry Duo ™ is available at select registars that bear the Registry Duo ™ logo during the checkout process.
