Samsung trademarks ‘Eye Scroll’ and ‘Eye Pause’ but dot coms are taken

The most anticipated phone in the world for 2013 is not made by Apple.

Samsung, which has broken sales records with its Samsung Galaxy S III, is expected to present the next version, Samsung Galaxy S IV, on March 14th.

According to some leaked information, the phone will feature an eye-tracking system that allows the phone’s operator to control it with their eyes, making the screen scroll when the bottom of the screen has been reached.

The feature is referred to as “eye scrolling” and Samsung has applied for a trademark for “Samsung eye scroll“, according to the USPTO.

Samsung also applied for “Eye pause“:

IC 009. US 021 023 026 036 038. G & S: Application software for smart phones and tablet computers; digital cameras; mobile telephones; smart phones; tablet computers

According to DomainTools, EyeScroll.com has been registered since 2005 and it’s an active web site by graphics designer, Ghada Sharafuddin. Ghada was pro-active to have registered Eye-Scroll.com as well.

Meanwhile, someone registered EyePause.com late last year, and it’s currently parked at GoDaddy.

Lastly, EyeScrolling.com was registered today by a Korean and parked at Sedo, in an apparent attempt to capitalize on the upcoming Samsung product.

The Samsung Galaxy S III is an amazing phone, and the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S IV is expected to revolutionize the smart cellphone market with its “eye scrolling” feature.
