Schilling vs Schwartz: Punch a bag or a bowl?

Two of the most successful domainers this side of the known cosmos are Frank Schilling and Rick Schwartz.

Neither of them needs any special introduction as they are the two core pillars of domaining; the third being Dr. Kevin Ham (aka: the man who owns the Internet).

When it comes down to publicizing sales or achievements, Frank Schilling maintains a low profile which adds to his allure and mystery. Meanwhile, anyone who has visited the Rick Schwartz blog can soon find out that Rick’s an extrovert guy who calls it like it is.

Rick recently publicized how his former domain, PunchBowl.com was sold for “up to $5 million” to party goods company, MyPunchBowl. The sale definitely “spiked” the domain punch that needs large sales to boost its public appeal.

But Frank Schilling isn’t too far behind: he owns PunchBag.com and that’s a true category killer. From distressed housewives wanting to let some steam out, to suppressed employees that can’t take it any more at their jobs and need a “punch bag“, this is the domain to sell for at least “up to $5 million”.

So which is better, a punch bowl or a punch bag? When it comes down to generating greenbacks, it doesn’t really matter 😀
