When registries hold back premium names for big $$ or reserve them for themselves then the only opportunity is for the registries. There are many affordable .com options for all of the phrases suggested. People will intuitively type livemusicguitars.com and deepseaphoto.com almost everytime imo.

Steve – I understand this is new ground for us .com veterans, but for better or worse it’s how new Registries operate. In the future, we will hopefully see fewer reserved domains. The latter occurs for two reasons, currently: collision lists (blocked domains as mandated by ICANN) and Registry-owned.
.sony .canon .bmw and .berlin .london and .melbourne will be the ones to save the day, the public will see developed names in these extensions
Business Show – Odd choices. I don’t consider geo gTLDs to be as important as e.g. .photos or .graphics. Geographical gTLDs are in reverse, e.g. Melbourne.graphics makes sense whereas graphics.melbourne doesn’t. Canon will offer its domains for free as far as I know.
