Viral video: The Day our Privacy Died

Great music classics exist to be adjusted to modern conditions in life and politics, and The Day the Music Died could not be an exception.

This is not your father's Internet.

This is not your father’s Internet.

Enter, “The Day our Privacy Died“- a video bound to become a new viral video on YouTube, with lyrics by Jim Sterne and vocals by Anthony Valbiro.

With lyrics such as “Bye-bye anonymity lie, Trusted Facebook with my data but Mark Zuck was not shy” and “We were singin’ Hi, Hi to the new FBI, I’m just frozen by my modem cause my modem’s a spy” the song is a tribute to how much the Internet changed in the past 20 years.

Enjoy! 😀

Ms Domainer – I recall the days of the anon.penet.fi anonymizer and it was a great concept early on. Like every concept, if it gets abused, it’s dropped. People get complacent though, and are careless with their personal info. Facebook is a great repository of 1.1 billion people – give or take 500k fake profiles 😀
