ZTM.com – Stolen LLL.com domain or hijacked hosting account?

Flippa.com has gained a notoriety for listing stolen domains for sale.

ZTM.com is listed on Australian domain marketplace, Flippawith a price tag of $559.

The stupidity of the domain thief is evident: he purchased a private listing that requires the signing of a non-disclosure agreement but he also put the domain in the listing description!

The thief also uploaded a .txt file to the web site, which reads:

Hi all flippa members

Both domains will be sold together for just $559
Payment is paypal
Instant push is possible to your godaddy.com account or i will give you Authorize Code so you can transfer domains to your own registrar.

The domain was reported as stolen in the past, but there is a possibility that the thief or hacker simply has access to the FTP server it’s hosted at.

According to the reporting domainer silentg over at DNForum, the owners dismissed any concern, claiming that their domain is secure.

Someone is about to get ripped off at Flippa, which has a past history of stolen domain listings.

  1. BullS says:

Hope you get a 1000000$ reward

  2. We take these scams seriously on Flippa.com. As mentioned in previous post comments, we take the hybrid approach of ramping up the barriers to these listings going live, while also presenting more information to buyers to make an informed purchase. While we’re not going to disclose our efforts on the former, we have rolled out enhancements to let buyers know when we suspect the user may be fraudulent. To this end, check out the user profile for the listing you have mentioned here: https://flippa.com/users/459984

We don’t always have anything concrete to ban a user immediately but buyers can readily make a judgement call themselves given the newly available info. I wouldn’t touch it!
