WikiPedia locks TIME Person of the year page after repeated vandalisms

As we reported earlier, the WikiPedia entry about the TIME Magazine Person of the Year was attacked by fans of WikiLeaks.

An apparent supporter of Julian Assange removed Mark Zuckerberg’s name from the list of annual awards and replaced it with the name of the WikiLeaks operator – currently in police custody in the UK.

Several other attempts followed. The WikiPedia entry is now protected, locked from any changes until December 22nd.

Julian Assange was a runner-up “person of the year” by TIME Magazine but was not selected.
