Guide to avoiding scammers selling domains on Flippa or Domain Lists
Scammers are awaiting... Do your research before buying domains.
Fellow domainer Makis who operates the web site Makis.tv has put together a comprehensive guide about researching domains for sale on Flippa.com or other domain lists, such as that on Latonas.com
Domains with dubious revenue and traffic appear on such venues quite often. Some are known to have sold for thousands of dollars, which means that their new owners got scammed.
Makis says:
“Many domainers right now are jumping from buying domains to buying websites entering a new marketplace that may seem similar to the domain world but its not like that.
Before paying lots of money for a website you must do your research about it and check out if it actually follows the seller’s promises.”
