WTF? Don’t do it, Rick!

Daryl the Drunk Domainer

Gosh darn it, domainers!

Here I am, taking a break from all mischievous things, sipping a cold one – and what do I read???

Rick Latona is selling DigiPawn and DigiLoan in the open business market.

My jaw dropped, dudes!

I was like, WTF Rick?

Rick Latona’s involvement with the domain market has been rejuvenating, especially after a full year of successful TRAFFIC handling for Rick Schwartz.

So what is going on all of a sudden?

I don’t know, but I hope that’s not an indication that the domain market is about to collapse.

If it were, Rick Schwartz would be blogging about it, right? 😉

Hmm, I don’t know for sure.

Anyway, Rick Latona’s moving out of the “domains for cash” market, and that’s a real shame.

There has been an amount of competition from Domain Capital but other than that, Rick Latona’s reputation has been stellar.

Whatever.

I am not going to lose sleep over this. It’s a business decision, Rick’s known for selling “real” stuff anyways. Like expensive gold watches.

But it’d be great to still have him around.

Later dudes!

DigiPawn and DigiLoan –What so special about these domains?

Stop worrying Man…as long as you have the beer and I have the cannabis, we are in good hand.

BullS – You’re kidding, right? We’re talking about a business, not a domain.

  3. BullS says:

What business? you called this a Business??

I called it the greatest BS word game since someone found out marijuana is GOD’s given cure for all tea leaf.

  4. Lucius "Guns" Fabrice says:

BullS – Why not? It’s like a pawn shop for domains. Pay the loan back, plus interest, get the domain back. Otherwise DigiPawn keeps the domain. Simple business.

Rick Latona pulling out of domains. Google’s Panda 2.0 taking direct aim at keyword domains. Rough times ahead for domainers… most of whom by the way don’t even seem aware of what just happened in Google on April 11, 9:00am PST.

  6. Send me the address so I can ship this guy a six pack of cheep goodness. 😀

  7. Jon says:

I don’t think the domain industry is about to collapse, let’s remember that Rick’s a millionaire, and buying and selling is how he made money in the 1st place, selling these business units off are just part of his strategy, though it is baffling to see why he’s selling off these businesses and keeping his “watch” business 🙁

  8. Well sounds like domains are about to become cheaper. Lets wait to see the bottom, and buy on the cheap.
