Emerge.com : NamePros locks down appraisal thread on suspicion of domain theft

Emerge.com appears to be stolen.

NamePros locked down an appraisal thread for the domain Emerge.com, on suspicion of domain theft.

The domain Emerge.com changed hands unexpectedly, less than a week ago, after EmergeTest.com, a domain controlling its Registrant and Admin accounts expired, and was re-registered.

This is a classic example of domain hijacking, and the person who opened the appraisal thread claims he caught Emerge.com at the drop, for “less than $500.”

The fact is, that Emerge.com did not drop; the domain EmergeTest.com dropped, and was caught on March 15, 2017 on DropCatch.

Whoever backordered the domain recreated the Admin email, transferring the domain away from Network Solutions to Tucows within the following few days.

Emerge.com has been in the possession of Soko Technology Ventures since its registration in 1998; the company’s officers have been contacted.

Domain investors that are approached to acquire Emerge.com are advised to proceed with caution.

Update: The domain Emerge.com has now been confirmed to be a stolen asset.

Final Update: The domain Emerge.com has been recovered and is no longer stolen.
