#Batman comics vs. #domains : Seven figure sale!

It might take a lot of effort to sell a domain name for seven figures, but it’s even harder for comic books!

A mint copy of the first issue of Batman, printed in 1940, just sold for $2.22 million dollars.

The Heritage Auctions lot sale completed earlier today, making this the highest price ever paid for a Batman novel.

If that comic book were a domain, it’d be listed at spot #8 of the Top 10 biggest domain sales in the past 5 years, topping Vivo.com, Zoom.com and ETH.com. Source: NameBio.

Incidentally, Batman.com is owned by DC Comics. Registered in 1996, the domain forwards to the DC Comics placeholder page for Mr. Bruce Wayne.

Still, some apparent prankster managed to list it for sale on the Uniregistry Market for $25,000 dollars.

We have reported the listing and hopefully it will be removed soon.
