Sedo has partnered with Escrow Domains, providing secure transfers of funds through an independent law firm.

Aimed at domain investors and professionals closing deals outside of Sedo, the service will be useful by those who want to:

  • Create customized sales agreements
  • Save on Transfer Service Fees
  • Use a trusted intermediary to hold the funds

Said Sedo:

“Already a leader in the domain transfer space, this furthers our commitment to providing the domaining community and end users with the simplest and most effective way to get the best in domain names.”

There are three tiers of service:

  • Domains up to $5,000 – escrow fee: 3.25% of the purchase price. Minimum $25.
  • Domains between $5,000 and $25,000 – escrow fee: 0.26% of the purchase price plus $162.50
  • Domains priced over $25,000 – escrow fee 0.89% of the purchase price plus $214.50

The new external escrow service at Sedo is now live. Here is an exclusive preview in the attached PDF below.
