Dot gTLD: XYZ wins the prestigious ‘Houdini Award’

This year’s TRAFFIC awards somehow failed to acknowledge the impact a very special new gTLD brought to the domain industry.

Established domain industry trend-setters, Dot .XYZ did not win any accolades or prizes, despite being nominated by more than three professionals.

Charismatic entrepreneur and generation ‘XYZ’ domain convergence apostle, Daniel Negari, did not appear discouraged:

“So, what if we didn’t win any awards at TRAFFIC, the numbers speak for themselves. Look at the numbers! Soon, every person on earth, every business, every Internet-connected device, every pet and every plant will be fighting over the last remaining .XYZ domains. To us, that’s a phenomenal year, and 2015 will prove to be stratospheric!”

Since no award was presented to XYZ at TRAFFIC, we decided to present them with our very own “Houdini” award, for escaping from the bonds keeping other gTLDs tied to the ground, while promoting ingenious innovation in the domain industry.

Congratulations, .XYZ – here’s to another billion domains. 😀

The 2014 Houdini Award goes to the .XYZ Registry.
