Dot .XXX reach: Adult models denied movie contract

ZFBot

Deena Zafiryano is a 22 year old model from Hungary; her long legs and ample assets gave her a fast pass to the adult entertainment industry’s biggest companies.

But now, Deena is facing a lengthy unemployment line, as visibly uglier actresses are taking the roles and contracts she once had easy access to.

The reason: Adult entertainment companies now require that adult performers own their own established .XXX domain.

“It’s remarkable how much the adult entertainment studios have embraced our .XXX initiative,” said the ICM Registry CEO, Stuart Lawley.

“In just over a year, .XXX domain names have become the de facto portfolio addresses for both up-and-coming and veteran adult performers!” added Lawley.

Thousands of adult entertainment performers, often referred to as “porn stars” have rushed to secure their names in the .XXX TLD. Adult entertainment labels politely but firmly refuse to sign up any new contracts unless the .XXX domain is used actively.

“In Hungary have job for sex movie, but no time domain,” says Zafiryano. “Upset yes, but will registers .XXX for mine, I want work in US make adults movie!” she exclaims.

With ICANN on the verge of approving hundreds of new gTLDs, including the ICM Registry’s applications for .porn, .sex and .adult, now it’s the time to secure your adult domain name, just in case you decide to venture into the adult entertainment industry.

DomaINdia – I know, right? It’s a terrible catch-22. She didn’t have money to buy the domain because she has no job, and she won’t get a job unless she has the .XXX domain. Very nice of you wanting to help her out!
