Due to extreme partying, TRAFFIC Las Vegas closes down several hours early

It was an unexpected ending to an otherwise very professionally handled conference, which closed its gates having generated almost half a million in sales at the live auction.

Right after the end of the auction, it was impossible to locate 99% of TRAFFIC participants and the remaining few were soon told that the cost of electricity and snacks had to be justified in order to keep the conference room active.

“We looked everywhere for the TRAFFIC attendees and they were all over the place. Some were maniacally feeding the slot machines with quarters in a desperate way to win something, others were spinning their last dollars on the roulette and there are rumors that a group of elite domainers, led by Sahar, were taken on a limo ride to an undisclosed gentleman’s club”, said Jodi, event coordinator for TRAFFIC.

The early closing of TRAFFIC – just a few hours shy of its planned three day schedule – means that the highly acclaimed “Shark tank” clone – TestTrack – will now take place in DomainFest instead.

“We had to make these changes to accommodate our guests’ best interest and to help promote TRAFFIC to the folks that ostensibly think DomainFest is better organized. While that’s a matter of personal preference, I believe at TRAFFIC we attract the best group of seasoned domainers, with an aim to please our guests”, added Jodi in a broad smile.

Meanwhile, staff for the Hard Rock Cafe & Casino are still searching for several dozen domainers that have passed out, intoxicated, in the various halls of the hotel, after the onslaught of several pre-parties, parties and after-parties during the TRAFFIC Las Vegas conference.

I was there looking for YOU!! Which party were YOU at? Oh, I remember. You were the one passed out on the floor at GOLD.

That party rocked 😀 Howard, I enjoyed meeting you again – I will have to make sure I don’t carry your metallic business card when I go through airport security 😀
