Final #Chinese #domain market report of 2017, as “Year of the Dog” lies ahead

It’s the final Chinese domain market report of the year, as we’re bidding farewell to 2017.

China’s domain aftermarket for “coinage” domains, such as and, remained relatively healthy, having survived a crappy 2016.

Domain investors moved some liquidity to cryptocurrencies, giving the short domain market a much needed correction.

No longer in $2,500 – $3,500 dollar territory, the infamous “Chinese letters” retained their stronghold in the $900 – $1,100 range and thus generated a healthy sales volume.

We’ve been keeping track of short domains, between 1 to 4 letters (or numbers) in the .COM, .NET and .CN TLDs, taking the pulse of the Chinese domain market for more than 2 years now.
