Frank Schilling, Rick Schwartz and Kevin Ham: What they have you’ll never ever get!

frankkevinrick2It’s a known fact among all domainers that domain pioneers Frank Schilling and Rick Schwartz are the twin pillars of domaing.

Along with Dr. Kevin Ham, they function as the premiere guiding beacons of our industry, ever-forcing the wheels of progress to move faster and more efficiently. The mere mentioning of their names in an article makes people amazed with wonderment about what the immediate connotations and references are; especially when there is little else to talk about in the core of an article or blog post.

In other words, domainer celebrity name-dropping by other domainers  in their blogs is a common practice, in order to create traffic and have people click on the link, like you just did.

It’s also prudent to keep mentioning that Frank Schilling and Rick Schwartz have blogs and twitter accounts and that Dr. Kevin Ham is known as “the man who owns the Internet”.

It’s very educating and entertaining to see people visit blogs and read posts about these uber-domainers that simply re-iterate this universally known fact:

Frank Schilling, Rick Schwartz and Dr. Kevin Ham are domain pioneers and have taken the domaining industry to new heights.

Where was I getting to with this post? Nowhere. I just wanted to make you click on it, so I mentioned Frank Schilling, Rick Schwartz and Dr. Kevin Ham’s names in the subject.

And that’s exactly what you’ll never ever have: their names and domain celebrity status.

It’s true, just the name of one of these domaining’s superstars into an headline is enough to have the volume of clicks skyrocket even if most of the time behind there are posts of low interest, old stories, … Many bloggers know it and get advantage of this fact to generate traffic. To the ones that abuse (there is few), take care! Misslead visitors with headlines that don’t give the promise can lead to lose the trust of your readers.
