Sony Pictures announced the movie Ghostbusters: Afterlife, sharing the first official trailer.
The “Ghostbusters 3” movie is scheduled for the summer of 2020 and it follows the Stranger Things franchise atmosphere, thus attracting fans of the genre, and those of us who have been waiting for a sequel far too long. 😀
There’s a problem, however, and it’s not slime: Sony didn’t register the matching .com domain, GhostbustersAfterlife.com, some dude from New Jersey did.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife does not come with the matching .com domain
The official web site is Ghostbusters.com, and what GhostbustersAfterlife.com displays is a blurry photo of an anus with the message, “Anal pleasures for the poltergeists!” At the bottom, the message “Buttholes and bananas” along with “August 2032” appears.
It is clear that the domain and web site at GhostbustersAfterlife.com are not in any way endorsed by Sony Pictures. Columbia Pictures, an American film studio and production & distribution company that is a member of the Sony group, has registered several trademarks containing the “Ghostbusters” mark.
Will there be a UDRP over the domain?
