GoDaddy pulls out of the adult business

The toys are gone but the boobies remain.

Less than two months ago it was brought to our attention that GoDaddy – the biggest domain registrar in the world with 40,000,000 domains in its control – allowed adult stores to function in its marketplace.

Some thought it was a joke, however GoDaddy was truly promoting dildos, vibrators and strap-ons, perhaps as part of a unique “buy a domain, get a sexual aid for free” promotion.

Bob Parsons, the legendary President and CEO of GoDaddy, is known for his appreciation of erotic women with buxom chests – as seen in every GoDaddy commercial.

The particular adult aid stores are now gone, and only pills and other such ‘snake oil’ products that supposedly enhance libido can be found on GoDaddy.

No more glass dildos, thank you very much.

GoDaddy is known to hold or to have applied for several patents that seem to be unrelated to domains; this was a case of experimentation with sex toysexcuse us for the pun.

Regardless, the king of the adult aid market remains ‘Adam & Eve‘ which – so far – has announced no plans of entering the domain name market.
