Gold scam offers 120 kilos of gold via new domain registrations

A classic example of a gold scam offers 120 kilograms of gold to its potential victims.

The email directs its recipients to a newly-registered domain, BukavuMining.com. The domain was registered in late January, according to DomainTools.

Registered to a Chinese registrant, the domain’s web site pretends to be a lawful gold mining enterprise in Kenya.

The gold scam email reads in part:

“Dear Sir/Madam – We have 120 Kilos of GOLD on offer. 96% Purity and 23 Carats

We are selling USD 27,000 per Kilo.

We can deliver to Nairobi Kenya or to the Buyers refinery of choice.”

Just days before, an alternate domain was used: bukavumines.com

The same registrant scammer owns the following domains:

1.  airbnbl.com
2.  bukavumining.com
3.  deinebestechance.com
4.  orderconfirmation3051761.com
5.  orderconfirmation5477038.com
6.  orderconfirmation6846960.com
7.  orderreceipt2767276.com
8.  powell-transport.com
9.  stressfreiesleben.com

Domain investors seeking to diversify their investments must avoid such gold offers like the plague.
