Greek domainers gone wild: Toula at TRAFFIC

Toula Maria Papageorgiou, a domain investor from Greece, attracted many compliments for her domain portfolio during TRAFFIC 2012 in Ft. Lauderdale.

The gregarious 37 year old mother of three from Corinth in Greece, was the heart and soul of the Afternic party.

“In Greece we don’t say opa! when we eat or party, but everyone kept saying “opa!” when I showed myself at Afternic party, not understand why that!” exclaimed Toula Maria, in not so perfect English.

“I invest in domain, dot .gr, dot .eu and .info and who cares about .com if you can have a good time and party, no?” she added.

Female domainers at TRAFFIC represented 1.25% of attendees. The infamous “boys club” of domaining has witnessed a change in recent years, with the percentage of female domainers doubling.

“Men that see me say, wow, you are beautiful and smart! So what to do, I smile and inside I think, poor guy, he need a hug!” says Toula Maria Papageorgiou, laughing.

Rick Schwartz is currently recovering from a nasty cold, and as soon as he’s back on his feet he’ll assess the full statistics of the TRAFFIC 2012 show.

Meanwhile, Toula Maria plans to be at TRAFFIC 2013 in Las Vegas; we’re looking forward to meeting her once again.

Is that true that Toula was one of the Godaddy girl candidate in 2005?
