Homeless man faked way into DomainFest’s Power Networking Day

Last week, a homeless Ft. Lauderdale man faked his way into the DomainFest “Power Networking Day“, mingling with other domainers and even taking the podium for a short while to deliver a speech about “domain mass development“.

This incredible story is still unfolding, as few images from the new one-day “lunchfest” symposium launched by Oversee were made public.

Apparently, Timothy Joe McPippin – a Ft. Lauderdale native and a self-professed “gambler and entertainer of the social strata” – managed to evade security during a scheduled break.

Once inside the conference room, he approached various domainers, overhearing conversations attentively and even taking notes on an old newspaper.

“We had no idea he was just a hobo”, said Patrick Ruddell, social media expert with Oversee and blogger extraordinaire. “His clothes were fine for Florida weather, torn shorts, sleeveless t-shirt, sandals. I dress like that every day. Nobody suspected him until after he delivered a speech at the podium, telling the folks here how domain mass development is a scam.”

Timothy’s brazen act was noted by other domainers, who listened carefully to his ten minute speech, loudly applauding in the end.

Eventually, when asked to provide details about what he does, the homeless man said he collects aluminum cans and empty beer bottles. Soon after, he was escorted out of the hotel property and onto the beach.

Security will be tighter at the next power networking day, although several attendees already admitted enjoying Timothy Joe McPippin’s speech for telling it like it is.
