New York City mayoral candidate, Anthony Weiner, has found himself engaged in yet another sexting scandal, and ICANN isn’t letting this pass without an official statement.

“After the former congressman announced he had been sending explicit text messages to a young female, we aren’t supporting the Dot .Weiner initiative for New York City,” said ICANN CEO, Fadi Chehadé.

“The moral issues raised by a political figure reflects on our society, and as a technological beacon, ICANN is adamant about maintaining society and the Internet completely safe,” added Fadi Chehadé.

The Dot .Weiner initiative was Anthony Weiner’s attempt to capitalize on his brandable last name; while the word can be used as a double entendre for “sausage” and the male genitalia, it is also a powerful statement for New York City’s tall skyscrapers.

“Clearly, Mr. Weiner put more thought and effort into exchanging sexually charged text messages and tweets, than providing his wife with the conjugal benefits of a spouse,” said Fadi Chehadé. “Why waste so much effort and money, particularly the $185,000 application fee for Dot .Weiner? I cannot comprehend such a foolish thing,” added Fadi Chehadé.

It remains to be seen what scandal will come out of New York City next, now that the only competition for the Big Apple will be the Dot .NYC initiative, supported by the mayor, Michael Bloomberg.
