Is Frank Schilling still selling domain names?

Frank Schilling scored his biggest, one-off domain sale when Uniregistry was acquired by GoDaddy.

The package deal involved millions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of domain names, along with other IP property owned by the company.

While these details were not made public, the estimated total was in excess of $100 million dollars, perhaps as much as $180 million. This report from GoDaddy lumps up expenses for “two acquisitions” in early 2020, with an aggregate purchase price of approximately $196.9 million dollars. We can only guess the ceiling of the Uniregistry acquisition part.

Frank focused on building real estate projects in the Cayman Islands, retracting from his domain investment focus, along with building the luxurious Mykonos restaurant. And yet, there seems to be a group of his domain names that apparently were not acquired by GoDaddy and managed by NameFind.

We found this active list at PerfectDomain, listed as “Frank Schilling’s Domains” for a total of 1,310 domains.

The are names such as GunVideos.com, FastSky.com, CreateYour.com, and BritishLaw.com — all of which resolve to that selling page.

Meanwhile, CovidLamda.com is listed but it has been deleted; that Covid-19 variant became prominent in 2019.

Overall, Frank Schilling’s interest in spending endless amounts of money to acquire domains in auctions or directly seems to have ended with the sale of Uniregistry; thanks to Frank’s legacy, we can say that you can take the domains out of the man but you can’t take the man out of the domains!
