Looks like the domain #Centric .com was acquired by a #domainer

At the most recent GreatDomains auction, the domain Centric.com was sold for $46,000 dollars.

Many would expect that the premium price paid for this top notch keyword, would arrive from an end-user buyer.

There are plenty of brands using the “centric” keyword, including financial institutions with plenty of capital.

It seems that Centric.com went to a domain investor, also known as “domainer.”

While the WHOIS is hidden, Centric.com resolves to a for sale page, using the services of BrandBucket.

The changes occurred on May 2nd, and the domain is already set up to receive offers. Without a doubt, this mid five-figure investment has the potential to generate six figures.

As an added bonus, Centric.com is a domain registered in 1990, making it one of the oldest domains in existence.

Centric.com is up for sale.

What a waste of money to put it on BrandBucket! Isn’t the commission there over 30%??

This “domainer” can self-broker the name at Uniregistry Market for 0% or put it on Afternic for only a 20% commission. A name like Centric.com does not need a brand-focused marketplace like BrandBucket anyway.

  2. Kevin says:

@Logan – Unless it was BrandBucket that bought it!

  3. BullS says:

Maybe there is someone working at Brand Bucket bought the domain and does not need to pay the 30% commission?

    Conspiratory theory!!
