#Motto and #domain brands : Looks like #SHIELD .com is paying attention!

Days ago, we noted how mega corp SHIELD rebranded to Shield.com, but in the process of securing the matching domain they left out their motto: Autonomous Risk Intelligence.

Someone registered the matching domain, and pending corporate trademark, AutonomousRiskIntelligence.com, and listed it for sale on the DAN marketplace (formerly Undeveloped.)

We pointed out how important it is to treat all digital corporate assets the same as the main brand, and seek to register – or acquire – their matching .com domain names.

It seems that SHIELD has been listening – hopefully – as someone did spend $990 dollars and bought the domain. Although WHOIS hasn’t changed yet, the domain is listed as “already sold” on DAN.com.

The domain has also been transferred from Dynadot to GoDaddy, which is the registrar used for Shield.com as well.

AutonomousRiskIntelligence.com has been sold apparently.

Note: We advise against the speculative registration of domains matching existing or pending trademarks. It’s a gamble that arrives with potential consequences, including being on the receiving end of UDRP filings and/or lawsuits. In the case of SHIELD and AutonomousRiskIntelligence.com it seems that common sense prevailed.
