Non-domainer on Toby Clements: “I just would like people to do the right thing”

Another person that domain broker Toby Clements owes money to, has come forward to express their anger and frustration.

Terri Camp Stevenson is not a domainer, but her late husband who passed away last year was; the 60-strong domain portfolio was given to Toby Clements for evaluation, last year.

According to Terri, who is not a domainer, Toby “seemed legit and without complaints at the end of 2013,” adding that these 60 domains were her late husband’s only assets.

We contacted Terri, who would care less about reclaiming the domain name that Toby Clements sold on her behalf, stating that at this point, she won’t be pursuing action for the $850 dollars owed to her.

Clearly upset by the incident, Terri ended her email with “I just would like people to do the right thing.”

We wish Terri good luck; stranger things have happened, and perhaps eventually Mr. Clements will rise to the occasion and will refund all the money he owes to domain owners.

  1. I really can’t believe that Toby disappearded like this. His list alone must have a huge value.
Maybe something happened to him? I met Toby twice in Valencia, and he seemed a very nice person to me.
And as what I can see, we are talking about very small amounts what he ows.

  2. I’m surprised no civil suit or criminal suit has been filed yet. If someone walked into your house and took a couple grand you’d call the police and report it, right? Yet domainers seem to just be sitting back for months while someone took their money. All it takes is one call to get the ball rolling on this. And if the domain sale involved money being wired across state lines than this is more than a simple charge.
